About the position:

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited professional experience in accounting. You will work closely with the Admin team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintain financial records, and contribute to the overall integrity of the company's financial reporting.

Key job responsibilities and duties:

1.    General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by accurately recording financial transactions and ensuring adherence to accounting principles.
2.    Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile accounts payable. Assist in monitoring accounts receivable and follow-up on outstanding balances.
3.    Financial Reporting: Contribute to preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets. Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
4.    Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash balances to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
5.    Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
6.    Support Audits: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
7.    Data Entry and Analysis: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and assist in analyzing financial information for decision-making purposes.
8.    Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and records for audit and reference purposes. 

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Location: In person at ARSI Canada Inc.
Term: Full-time fixed-term contract(with a possibility of extension or permanent).
