About the position:

We are currently looking for an Analytical Chemist who will be doing analytical developments and routine analysis of samples under the supervision of the Head of R&D. 

Key job responsibilities and duties:

- Performs analytical method development to support the projects and analytical methodologies.
- DOE and troubleshooting for a variety of analytical chemistry projects.
- Maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment, preparation of SOPs, and time-to-time troubleshooting of instruments.
- Ensures that activities meet good laboratory practices. Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment, prepare SOPs, and troubleshoot time-to-time.
- Maintaining the proper inventory of all the reagents, chemicals, solvents, HPLC columns, etc., needed to perform analytical development tasks.
- Prepare reports of method development experiments and processes to transfer to the head and the team.
- Participate in internal as well as external projects from time to time.
- Successfully performed HPLC experimentations, FT-IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis experiments, TOC analysis, KF titration, particle size analysis, LCMS, perform validations, etc.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to get analytical data recorded for samples, e.g., NMR, MS, etc.
- Sourcing and costing of relevant project-related chemicals.
- Keep a detailed record of laboratory notebooks and other necessary documents.
- Assisting team members and scientists in performing the analytical characterization of samples frequently. 

Education and experience requirements:
-
Canadian equivalent to Master of Science with 0-3 years’ experience or Bachelor of Science degree with 1-3 years’ experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Highly motivated and possessing multi-tasking skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Chemistry software, especially analytical chemistry software, including proficiency in MS Office.

Term: Full-time fixed-term contract(with a possibility of extension or permanent).
